Hi Cyri,

For my website I created Senior Travel Vacations.

I wanted to create a business that catered to one of the largest and fastest growing markets of people in the world: senior citizens. According to seniorliving.about.com (http://seniorliving.about.com/od/lawpolitics/a/senior_pop_demo.htm) there are 483 Million senior citizens in the world.

The internet can be a scarey place for seniors. They don't know where to look for certain products and services and don't know which sites to trust. What they need is a trustworthy directory to lead them towards reputable travel agencies and away from shady / less reputable ones.

I setup a simple one page website called SeniorTravelVacations.com to help refer senior citizens to reputable, safe and secure travel booking websites that offer senior discounts. Merle Gallagher is my Grandma and so I used her as a 'testimonial'.

The business makes money by bringing in senior travelers from Google adwords and high search engine rankings and then referrs seniors to travel agencies using higher paying google image banner advertisements. I pay a low cost per click (CPC) to get users to my site and we make a significantly higher amount when users click through the banner ads to one of our reccomended agencies.

Using rough numbers, it costs us $.17 CAD to get a user to our site and $.40 when a user clicks on one of the image banner referrals.

When setting up Adsense on my website there is an option that allows me to display banner image ads on a CPC basis only (not CPM as the majority of adsense banners are). This is what allows me to make profit on referrals.

I registered the URL through GoDaddy.com and built the site using the common program called IWeb. I also set up an email address for the company: feedback@seniortravelvacations.com and it is being re-directed to my personal email: djseangallagher@hotmail.com .
